INSPI(RED) BY THE HUMAN FAMILY
(RED) and Fiat: a unique partnership that fights health emergencies and, more generally, pandemics with every purchase of a (FIAT)RED Family vehicle, creating the most ethical and relevant series. (RED) is an organization that fights global health emergencies like AIDS and COVID: every time you buy a (RED) product, your purchase triggers a donation to the Global Fund to support a range of prevention, treatment, counselling, testing, education and care services to the communities most in need. That’s why we’ve proudly joined this experience and created the (FIAT)RED Family: to let you be part of it. Fiat, Jeep and RAM have committed, through the partnership with (RED), and through it, to donate a minimum of 4 million dollars to The Global Fund between 2021 and 2023 to help fight health emergencies like COVID-19 and AIDS. Each (FIAT)RED vehicle is a (RED) Product and it is part of this commitment.

AIR CABIN FILTER
The air cabin filter of the climate control system was treated with a biocide substance with highly effective action (>99,9 % at the time of the treatment) action against bacteria, preventing re-aerosolization in the vehicle cabin. The effectiveness of the treatment is affected by the conditions of use of the car, and, in any case, the filter must be replaced as indicated in the vehicle maintenance plan.
SEATS
The seat fabric was treated with a biocide substance with highly effective action (up to 95% at the time of the treatment*) against viruses and bacteria, with prolonged protection over time (**).
(*) These percentages refer to the central part of the seat (seating and backrest). Headrests are excluded from the treatment.
STEERING WHEEL
The steering wheel upholstery was treated with a biocide substance with highly effective action (> 99,9 % at the time of the treatment) against bacteria and fungi, with prolonged protection over time (*).
(*) Following laboratory tests, carried out in compliance with company’s internal specifications, in which the conditions of use of the steering wheel were simulated, the reduction of the microbial load remains greater than 99.9% after 3,000 cycles of simulated use.
TRUNK
The reconfigurable load platform for 500X and 500L and the trunk carpet for New 500, 500 and Panda was treated with a biocide substance with highly effective action (> 99,99 % at the time of the treatment) against viruses, with prolonged protection over time*.
(*) Following laboratory tests, carried out in compliance with company’s internal specifications, in which the conditions of use of the treated parts were simulated, the reduction of the microbial load remains greater than 99.99% after 800 cycles of simulated use.
YOUR JOURNEY TOWARDS CARE
The New (500)RED features a new “Sanitizing Glove Box”. The
sanitizing glove box is not an electronic equipment for sterilization but simply helps increase the hygiene of the surface of the goods.
Activate it by placing your small personal goods (such as your
smartphone, door keys, and other small everyday objects) in the glove compartment, close the drawer and press the button located in the central console. The hygienization cycle will require 3 minutes and an external blue indicator and an acoustic signal will inform you when the cycle is completed *.
